Got a new microphone

I was looking for a cheap microphone with noise canceling features, since i had no microphone and i use skype alot to talk with my friends,so i searched online for a mic for about ~20$,and i stumbled upon the Logitech USB Desktop microphone,it said it has noise canceling, and i watched a few video reviews of people, and it sounded pretty good, and it looked pretty good,so i went ahead and bought it.
It took me about 5 minutes to open the box since logitech used the most annoying box, after i opened it there was a manual and the microphone in the package,i went ahead and plugged it in my computer and it worked instantly.
The micropphone itself feels pretty sturdy and has a metal bass,so it won't fall or anything. sound was decent and i was dissapointed of the noise canceling, you could hear the TV which is about 5 meters away when its on low volume which isn't that good,so the noise canceling isn't that good.

Overall this microphone is okay, the build quality is pretty good and it doesn't look like its going to break, but the sound isn't outstanding and the noise canceling isn't that good either.

  7. You should have gotten a Zalaman clip on mic. Pics up sound fantastically

  8. Many recommended my the zalman clip on though i don't like the fact it clips, because it will just make a cable mess, and i heard that you need to put it very close to your mouth so you can be heard from many people..

  9. I have a mic that clips on to my shirt
it was even cheaper if you can believe that
doesn't have much of a problem with ambient noise either

  10. Wow, that thing has noise cancelation and is only $20?

  11. looks very similar to the one I got off ebay to use with my ps3, however mine doesn't have the noise cancellation :(

  12. I'm not really thrilled by Logitech products in general. In my opinion especially the cheap products of its palette are often worse than no-name products.

  13. So all in all would you recommend it or i should spend a couple more bucks on a better one? is it worth the 20 bucks or not?

    ReplyDelete
  14. I wouldn't say its worth the 20$,just get a cheaper one,you won't notice the difference.

  15. I still have my old cheapy white plastic mic. Don't use it too often though.

  16. The microphone I have was bought by my brother like 10 years ago, haha. It works, but you can't move too much or it stops working. I should probably get a new one.

  22. Looks weird haha
But then I'm using a cheap, old, broken headset. It has so much duct tape on it's amazing it's still working.

  28. I had a USB headset that came with a SOCOM game, it was the best I have seen, After it broke I tried to replace it, and nothing comes close.

  29. Pretty sweet looking mic. Although if it's as bad as you say it is then its virtually useless for excess noise. Appreciated review, +follower

  37. I imagine you wouldn't get the best noise canceling for 20 bucks, but still sounds like a good deal.

  38. Im no expert in this area but I think you will always get substantial amount of noise as its working on a analogue signal.

  49. Have you thought about just wrapping the tip in some kind of foam? That's what a lot of people do when they have to buy cheap mics.

  55. I've recently purchased myself a new mic also. Some black and orange Canyon one that looks quite similar to yours. It's been waiting for me at the Post Office for a couple days now though.... Just too lazy to go collect it -_-

  56. I guess for $20 it's not too bad, but it's a shame the noise cancelling is no good.
