I was looking for a cheap microphone with noise canceling features, since i had no microphone and i use skype alot to talk with my friends,so i searched online for a mic for about ~20$,and i stumbled upon the Logitech USB Desktop microphone,it said it has noise canceling, and i watched a few video reviews of people, and it sounded pretty good, and it looked pretty good,so i went ahead and bought it.
It took me about 5 minutes to open the box since logitech used the most annoying box, after i opened it there was a manual and the microphone in the package,i went ahead and plugged it in my computer and it worked instantly.
The micropphone itself feels pretty sturdy and has a metal bass,so it won't fall or anything. sound was decent and i was dissapointed of the noise canceling, you could hear the TV which is about 5 meters away when its on low volume which isn't that good,so the noise canceling isn't that good.
Overall this microphone is okay, the build quality is pretty good and it doesn't look like its going to break, but the sound isn't outstanding and the noise canceling isn't that good either.

very nice. do you do a youstream also?
ReplyDeleteMaybe i will buy the same mic.
ReplyDeleteNo,i don't do streams,i use it mainly for skype and voice chat in games.
ReplyDeletewow it looks really cool for a mic. i wonder how the sound is, on skype it will be good i guess?
ReplyDelete+1 and following!
Looks nice I need an exterior mic.
ReplyDeletePretty fancy looking microphone.
ReplyDeleteYou should have gotten a Zalaman clip on mic. Pics up sound fantastically
ReplyDeleteMany recommended my the zalman clip on though i don't like the fact it clips, because it will just make a cable mess, and i heard that you need to put it very close to your mouth so you can be heard from many people..
ReplyDeleteI have a mic that clips on to my shirt
ReplyDeleteit was even cheaper if you can believe that
doesn't have much of a problem with ambient noise either
Wow, that thing has noise cancelation and is only $20?
ReplyDeletelooks very similar to the one I got off ebay to use with my ps3, however mine doesn't have the noise cancellation :(
ReplyDeleteI'm not really thrilled by Logitech products in general. In my opinion especially the cheap products of its palette are often worse than no-name products.
ReplyDeleteSo all in all would you recommend it or i should spend a couple more bucks on a better one? is it worth the 20 bucks or not?
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say its worth the 20$,just get a cheaper one,you won't notice the difference.
ReplyDeleteI still have my old cheapy white plastic mic. Don't use it too often though.
ReplyDeleteThe microphone I have was bought by my brother like 10 years ago, haha. It works, but you can't move too much or it stops working. I should probably get a new one.
ReplyDeletenice i was also thinking of getting a new mic. But i will prolly get one with headset, my headset is bad hihi
ReplyDeletei need a new mic also, im thinking about getting a logitech one
ReplyDeleteLooks decent, should be perfect for skyping and TS3
ReplyDeleteLooks nice, I like your blog!

Hmm good post, i'm in the market for a new mic, my laptop's built in one sucks...
ReplyDeleteheadset ftw
ReplyDeleteLooks weird haha
ReplyDeleteBut then I'm using a cheap, old, broken headset. It has so much duct tape on it's amazing it's still working.

Great review here. +1
ReplyDeleteThat was a microphone? really elegant looking!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! Post some voice recording, so we can see it's quality.
ReplyDeleteThis thing looks old school
ReplyDeleteI'm falling in love with that microphone.
ReplyDeleteNice looking mic!
ReplyDeletehmm interesting, I'm looking for a mic as the one I have right now doesnt quite cut it
ReplyDeleteI had a USB headset that came with a SOCOM game, it was the best I have seen, After it broke I tried to replace it, and nothing comes close.
ReplyDeleteThis is great!
ReplyDeletePretty sweet looking mic. Although if it's as bad as you say it is then its virtually useless for excess noise. Appreciated review, +follower
ReplyDeletecool mic +1 Follower
ReplyDeleteWow awesome i need a new mic, might look into getting one of these. Im on oovoo alot haha +1. +followed
ReplyDeletePretty baller microphone. My mac has one built in the speaker. It's rather obnoxious...
ReplyDeletenice mic, I prefer headsets myself.
ReplyDeletewow nice blog ;)
ReplyDeleteI have the same mic and I could tell you before hand its okay, but the noise canceling isn't fantastic, but for 20 bucks its rocking!
ReplyDeletePosting and following, return. TY
ReplyDeletelooks cool I like the design
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about getting a standing mic for a long time. Maybe this is what I'm looking for? I'm tired of hanging a headset around my neck ;)
ReplyDelete"SOUNDS" like a good mic! Get it? :)
ReplyDeleteI imagine you wouldn't get the best noise canceling for 20 bucks, but still sounds like a good deal.
ReplyDeleteI've got a similar one
ReplyDeleteIm no expert in this area but I think you will always get substantial amount of noise as its working on a analogue signal.
ReplyDeleteNow if anyone can recommend me a good cheap gaming headset, i can die a happy man.
ReplyDeleteNice microphone looks pretty nice!
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty snazzy looking microphone! I bet it was expensive!
ReplyDeleteI soooo need one of these. Atleast something better than a laptop built in mic. Urggg.

Browse my blog? have a look around.
People should really invest in good microphones. :) I REALLY WANT IT!
ReplyDeleteI hate it when people talk on vent or skype with rusty old microphones.
ReplyDeleteThey should just RETURN IT and get a bette rone, ya kno?
when i had an usb guitar interface i was plugging Shure C607 microphone, setting compressor/limiter on Line 6 software nad it was preety good. but the price is too high if you want only to use skype...
ReplyDeleteThe Shure C607 isn't tha expensive,but i don't have a place to put it..
ReplyDeletei need a microphone with a stand..
looks like it would break any moment but if you say its stable... ^^
ReplyDeleteCan anyone recommend a better mic for my brother? He's looking to do commentary on videos.
ReplyDeleteHave you thought about just wrapping the tip in some kind of foam? That's what a lot of people do when they have to buy cheap mics.
ReplyDeletethat microphone looks sweet man
ReplyDeleteMy brother-in-law bought one just like it
ReplyDeleteI have one just like it. I was amazed over it's quality as it's pretty cheap.
ReplyDeleteYou can't beat a deal like that! Followed+
ReplyDeleteI've got one of these. Love it! +followed by the way!
ReplyDeleteI've recently purchased myself a new mic also. Some black and orange Canyon one that looks quite similar to yours. It's been waiting for me at the Post Office for a couple days now though.... Just too lazy to go collect it -_-
ReplyDeleteI guess for $20 it's not too bad, but it's a shame the noise cancelling is no good.
